About D Preble
Healing Art
Art from the tropical island of Hawaii
Born in San Jose California in 1956, D. Preble led a storybook life growing up as a country boy in an agricultural area. He spent his time hiking, engaging in apricot and dirt clod fights with friends, shooting BB guns, and riding bikes.
He married young and through a terrible tragedy lost his first wife & child. He pulled his life back together through the help of family friends and church. Four years later he remarried and had two wonderful children. But as is the case so often in young marriages it did not work out.
At 28 years old D. Preble hit the road not knowing where he would end up. After traveling through Alaska, by chance he ended up on the big Island of Hawaii. Shortly after he arrived he met the love of his life and they remained together for the next 20 years. It was with his wonderful wife that D. Preble resumed his storybook life raising five children and exotic birds from around the world until 2007 when his wife passed away.
He has spent the last few years trying to heal the wounds of his this life through the exploration of his passion for art. Now, D. Preble spends his days on the tropical island of Hawaii, creating beautiful digital artworks. Since beginning healing process, he has created over 30,000 works. It is only now, November 2014 that the world is being exposed to art that pours out of the genius of the tortured soul of D. Preble. Enjoy
